About the Author

I grew up with the Internet being an integral part of my life. I didn’t just use it; I wanted to know how it worked. As I got older, I learned the basic languages of the internet (CSS, HTML, PHP, etc), and I learned the ins and outs. My fascination led me to create a small community blog of tight-knit friends in high school. The blog, sidit.org, isn’t around anymore, but the website remains as my online portfolio and a centerpiece of my online presence. I keep it around to aggregate my social presence on the Internet. It’s a work in progress that will eventually be full of my best work. My fascination continued to grow as social networks like Xanga and Livejournal came into existence. I used both religiously, and I was a very early member of the now fading MySpace. I joined Facebook as soon as high school students were added to the mix.
Now I’m interested in the way people interact on these networks. I want to know the trends and why people do what they do. I find it intriguing that the social lives of many Millenials is centered largely online.
About the Blog
I started blogging about social media because I felt like I needed an outlet to express myself. I come across so many articles on Twitter that I wanted more of a place to tell people my thoughts, other than in the comments of that post. Sharing my insights and knowledge with others could prove useful, or even helpful.
